For the introduction of Capital One’s savor card, their music brief was simple- we want to go places no other brand can go. That meant going to the Mount Rushmore of artists: Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, and Prince. This was the first-ever licensed use of a Prince recording in an advertisement, and the first time the brand found themselves covered by the likes of Rolling Stone, Billboard, Questlove’s Twitter, and more.
